New Tool Enhances Your Presentation or Movie

Just about everyone knows how the TV weatherman (or woman) makes their reports so cool, interacting with the clouds and temperatures that appear in back of them.  They are actually standing in front of a green screen and the background in inserted with a computer.

They glance now and then at a video monitor where the combined video is shown.  It takes some practice, but they are able to make it appear that they are really standing in front of those symbols, satellite and radar pictures.

Personify Live gives you the capability to create and stream presentations where you are part of them, just like those TV personalities.  So, whether you perform a weather program or make a movie showing yourself demonstrating your latest software development, Personify Live could help you.

Don’t worry about getting a green screen (or even an old-fashioned blue screen) and forget using Tempera paint and paper to create your own.  This program uses the latest in gaming technology to put you into your presentation.

The secret of avoiding a green screen lies in the camera.  A depth camera such as the Microsoft Kinect or Asus Xtion Pro Live camera is used with your laptop to capture your body and ignore the background.  You can also use your smartphone as a remote control.

The program is only available as SaaS (Software as a Service) and costs $19.95 a month.  If you need to save some money, you can get a year of service for $199.  If you do not have a camera, Personify, Inc. will sell you a camera bundle (consisting of an Asus Xtion Pro Live camera and three free months of service) for $199.

Personify Live works with Adobe Connect, WebEx, GoToMeeting, Microsoft Lync and Skype.
