Tradeshow Recap – Technology for Marketing & Advertising

London’s Earls Court was the venue for this year’s Technology for Marketing & Advertising Show, which was held on the 25-26th February, and attracted over 11,000 visitors.  Recognised as the largest multi-channel marketing and advertising event in the UK, TFM&A offers visitors 4 shows in 1 and covers the complete marketing spectrum with the Online Advertising & Affiliate Expo, International Direct Marketing Expo and Publishing & Media Expo all taking place under 1 roof.

 

Supported by DMI International, Spun, The Chartered Institute of Marketing and the Global Marketing Alliance, the event focussed on technology and innovation, as well as education and professional development. This year saw over 180 seminars take place, with themed theatres such as:

  • Email and Mobile Marketing Theatre
  • CRM and Multi-Channel Theatre
  • Future Trends Theatre
  • Customer Insight & Data Analytics Theatre

 

The panel of key note speakers included representatives from Microsoft, Coca-Cola, Unilever, Wayra, Sainsbury’s and The Marketing Academy who explored subjects such as:

  • The Digital Skills Divide
  • Leadership
  • The Evolving Needs of Business
  • Specialist v Generalist Marketing

 

With Dr David Chaffey also presenting a Research Briefing on the challenges and rewards of planning, managing and optimising digital marketing.

 

Always an opportunity to showcase the latest offerings to the market, Tech of the Future focussed on 6 digital start-up companies who battled it out to win the award, with CampaignAmp, MomentUs, Seenit, StashMetrics and Sumo Insight all taking part.  It was Liverpool based LivingLens that were victorious, their app turns consumer insight film into an editable and searchable knowledge base.

 

Over 300 exhibitors attended this year’s event including:

  • SalesForce

 

Next year’s Technology for Marketing & Advertising will be held on the 25th – 26th February 2014 at the National Hall in Olympia London.
