Don’t let an awkward PDF get in the way of a dream home

I work for a large real-estate broker and have need of a solid, reliable, easy to use PDF editor for replying to banks, counter-offers etc. I have tried at least 15 other PDF editors including ‘cloud based’ editors (which concern me a little because of confidentiality).

I found the Infix PDF Editor in a review of several other editors, after using the Infix PDF Editor I am amazed that it took me so long to hear about it.
I have shown it to many professionals and they all agree it is the best PDF editor option they have seen, balancing ease of use, power, options, speed, local processing (security), and reasonable price. The interface is easy to use and my secretary only needed a few minutes to begin using it efficiently.

Overall, I would recommend Infix PDF Editor to everyone who needs to edit/create/fill-out pdf forms, it is a great product.

Under the hood

Infix – it’s real power is under the hood

Under The Hood of a PDF Engine

Infix is one of the few PDF editors which gets things done.

First of all, very useful in my line of work is the option to export the PDF for use with CAT tools (xml only so far, but probably other options will be available in time).

Second, I was amazed by the many options for manipulating the text. Replacing fonts is easier than ever, resizing, splitting or joining textboxes is just a child’s play. You can rebuild a textbox just with the selected text, split a textbox in several others containing a paragraph each, and most important, formatting of the text almost never fails.
After translating the exported .xml, importing the translation is just a breeze and in less than a minute you have a document with the exact same look as the original. And very accurate, too.

An intuitive interface might let you think that Infix is just a simple tool, but don’t be deceived:
it’s real power is under the hood.
It’s not perfect, but it’s still one of the best .pdf editors I’ve tried

You should try TransPDF.com for PDF translation – it uses the same PDF engine as Infix but has been super-charged for translators offering XLIFF import/export and superior handling! – Guy.

No more sticky fingers on my laptop

As a 50+ techie dinosaur who struggles to keep up with 10 year olds I find your PDF editor really easy to use.

I work in Education with vulnerable pupils in different establishments who have the concentration span of a newt and an aversion to most things pen and paper.

Having invested years in preparing antiquated sheets I am not yet ready to let them go and the newts are not yet ready to manage without them.

We now combine their love of tech with my love of antique. We work on a laptop with the same enthusiasm that I experienced with pen and paper all those years ago. We fill in prepared sheets and comment on all sorts of things.

I am not yet able to show colleagues how wonderful your product is because I use my own laptop and work uses other software. Ease of use and price normally persuades bosses and I’d love to try. A free licence would impress them enough to allow an install on my equally antiquated laptop and an expansion of users on the ‘Monkey see Monkey do’ principle.

No more sticky fingers on my laptop. Win Win.

Cloning Across Briefs Encountered

Working in the legal industry, I encounter many briefs and other PDF documents that may require watermarks and headers or footers to be removed before they can be distributed.

Considering that those documents can run to thousands of pages, and may be brought to my attention at very short notice, modifying a document one page at a time has previously been challenging and tedious at the very least.

Features of Infix, particularly “Clone Across Pages” and “Delete Across Pages” have the capacity to negate a menial task, meaning my attention can be focused on far more important and complex issues.

Infix appears to be just the standalone program that I and many colleagues have been looking for – the alternative to date has involved multiple programs and complicated workflows. In Infix it’s as simple as point, click, delete and save.

Based on my experiences with Infix to date I have no reservations about recommending the program to anyone who needs .pdf editing as part of their professional toolkit.

Editing PDF Music Manuscripts

As a pianist I am always looking to print new piano scores and make booklets myself.

Before printing the pdf often needs to be reworked. I like to join multiple pieces together, so the page numbering has to be redone. The headers and footers need to be modified or deleted.
All of these can be easily done with the “delete all instances” function in Infix. So there is no need to do it page by page, which is a real time saver.

Infix PDF is definitely more powerful then Adobe Acrobat Pro when it comes to modifying a PDF. It is easier and more intuitive to modify the font of a text, making it bigger or smaller or put it in bold. And it also allowed me to move text where Acrobat Pro would not let me move it!

For the musically inspired amongst us: you can even copy paste a complete staff of music! I use that feature personally to add a content table to the pdf. The content table then shows the first line of each piece, just as if you would buy a real book with sheet music.

I would recommend Infix to anyone that is looking for a decent PDF editor.

Accurate Form-Filling for the OCD Perfectionist

I find that Infix allows me to work with difficult to edit PDFs.

Many government documents including Bankruptcy forms (specifically what I use it for) annoy the heck out of me because I am a perfectionist and like a clean looking document but unfortunately many times the text I type does not align with the pre written text alignment.

I find the use of text boxes in Infix to be a great way to fix it. Even with the option to use floating text boxes to fill forms it also allows the option to use the preexisiting fields to type in answers – traditional style. You can fill in the forms in the way you want want or both on one page, preexisisting fields and or [new] text boxes.

I also like the word processing design and ease to use of Infix.
I would suggest it for any OCD person! LOL

Brazilian Designs On Infix

Translator’s joy after 15-year quest

I’ve been using PDF editor for 15 years now. Paid, unpaid, free or open source. None, and I mean none of the well-known names in this market provided me with this combination of easy-to-learn, easy-to-use translation related processes.

My main need today is translating PDF docs from English to Spanish to take advantage of a wealth of literature in the Safety industry that it is not transferrable to Spanish-speaking environments.

As an educator and consultant, this ability that InFix provides is invaluable.
