Use A PDF Editor To Reduce The Administration Of This Year’s Christmas

With Christmas just around the corner, your office administration team will likely be trying to locate all of those useful Christmas themed documents from last year. You’ll probably be familiar with the annual Christmas posters for the office party, the sheets on the pin board for the secret Santa raffle, and even the Christmas Menus. But do you really need to make them all over again this year?

The main problem faced in many workplaces is the fact that the majority of these Christmas posters have to be created again each and every year. This repeated and avoidable workload can prove to be a problem. In many office environments in the UK, the recession has forced a “time = money” working atmosphere, even to the point where many Christmas related activities could potentially be put on hold this year due to cut backs. Therefore, employees need to do all they can to ensure that their Christmas celebrations are still upheld, but not to the detriment of the business workload.

Many of the posters, newsletters and menus that are created each year are normally constructed and saved in a PDF format. This format works well to create a professional looking document which can be readily attached to a mass company email. The PDF format means that the sender can be certain that the document formatting will look the same regardless of which PC is used to view it or which email provider receives the attachment. With many Christmas menus and newsletters including fancy festive borders, holly and ivy page breaks and the obligatory Santa and reindeer images, there is no better way of ensuring the complex page designs remain unaffected than the PDF format.

This year the time has come to do it all again. In the past you’ll have probably had to search and download all of the Christmassy images for your document decorations, and re-create all of the content only with updated times and dates and menu choices. However, wouldn’t it be easier if you could keep all your hard work from previous years and only edit the parts which you actually need to edit? The trouble is the PDF file format needs a PDF editor bit of software in order to do so. Most PDF editors come in really useful in many office environments. The ability to open a PDF from an old folder on the server or from an email attachment and actually edit it as if it were a normal word document can be a revelation and a massive time saver.

Apply the PDF editor technology to the many Christmas posters, newsletters, raffle forms and menus from last year, and you can have all of these edited and updated for the latest holiday season in minutes rather than hours. When it comes to administration in the workplace, the bosses will be far happier that the Christmas related admin work is kept to a minimum, and the PDF editor software can really make a difference.

If you have plenty of old PDF documents from previous Christmas events and you don’t have the time or the inclination to recreate them all over again from scratch again this year, look online for a PDF editor.
