
Argus comes with a variety of example configurations covering most of the capabilities of the software. Useful in their own right they also serve as a convenient starting point for creating your own configurations.
Argus Text Table Sample Configuration
Config File
- textConfigs/gridText.cfg
Example configuration for PDF documents which contain tables of data which must be output in text format. The primary intent of this configuration is to handle PDFs which contain “tables” of data where the rows and columns were originally created by laying out plain text in a monospaced font. This most often occurs in the case of PDFs containing tables of financial data.
Command Line
- argus -c textConfigs/gridText.cfg -a expenses3.pdf

Important Config Values
- [Argus Controls]
Text Path - defines the directory path, filename and whether there will be a single file or a file per page for the output text
Gridded Text - dictates that layout of text should be retained using spaces to separate words.See Argus reference manual for complete config value descriptions.
