Argus comes with a variety of example configurations covering most of the capabilities of the software. Useful in their own right they also serve as a convenient starting point for creating your own configurations.
Argus Structure Tags XML Sample Configuration
Config Files
- structConfigs/entityXML.cfg
Catalogue of the structure tags used in the document as produced using argus -e <filename>.pdf (this produces a file called entity.cfg which was renamed to entityXML.cfg). The default catalogue produced will map the structure to XML-style start and end tags. This .cfg file is then included in structXML.cfg. This particular example was generated for structure tags as produced by Adobe InDesign 2.0. See Argus reference manual for more information. - structConfigs/structXML.cfg
Converts PDF, which includes structure tags information, to XML. The mapping of structure tags to XML tags is controlled according to entityXML.cfg as described above. Output is a single XML file. No images are output.
Command Line
- argus -e quickstart.pdf
This command produces a structure tag catalogue file named entity.cfg. This file was then renamed to entityXML.cfg. - argus -c structConfigs/structXML.cfg quickstart.pdf
This command actually generates the XML output.
