Argus comes with a variety of example configurations covering most of the capabilities of the software. Useful in their own right they also serve as a convenient starting point for creating your own configurations.
Argus RTF Links Sample Configuration
Config File
- rtfConfigs/links.cfg
Converts PDF into RTF readable by Microsoft Word and other word processors. Hypertext links in the original PDF are re-created in the output. Images are not embedded in the RTF. All pages are written to the same file called <filename>.rtf in the “docs” folder (where <filename> is the name of the original document). Text is reflowed and words split because of line-wrap in the original document are de-hyphenated - layout is not preserved.
Command Line
- argus -c rtfConfigs/links.cfg UserGuide.pdf
Sample Data
- Input file UserGuide.pdf
- Output files UserGuide.rtf
Important Config Values
- [Argus Controls]
Text Path - defines the directory path, filename and whether there will be a single file or a file per page for the output text
Image Path - defines the directory path and filename for the output images
Image Output - controls whether images are included in the output or not
See Argus reference manual for complete config value descriptions.
