Argus comes with a variety of example configurations covering most of the capabilities of the software. Useful in their own right they also serve as a convenient starting point for creating your own configurations.
Argus HTML Tabulated Sample Configuration
Config File
- htmlConfigs/tabulated.cfg
Generates simple HTML with each page going to a separate file. Also creates a bookmarks file. The layout of the page is retained as best as possible by positioning the text in a table covering the whole page. This kind of layout does not usually look as effective as that produced by the super.cfg configuration but it does have the advantage of working with older or more limited browsers. Text on the page is sorted into simple X-Y order prior to output.
Command Line
- argus -c htmlConfigs/tabulated.cfg UserGuide.pdf
Sample Data
- Input file UserGuide.pdf
- Output files UserGuide
Important Config Values
- [Argus Controls]
Text Path - defines the directory path, filename and whether there will be a single file or a file per page for the output text
Image Path - defines the directory path and filename for the output images
See Argus reference manual for complete config value descriptions.
