
Argus comes with a variety of example configurations covering most of the capabilities of the software. Useful in their own right they also serve as a convenient starting point for creating your own configurations.
Argus HTML Article Sample Configuration
Config File
- htmlConfigs/articles.cfg
Converts PDF into HTML on an article-by-article basis. This configuration only works for PDF documents that contain article threads. Each article is placed in a file named thread-01.html, thread-02.html, etc. in a sub folder of the “docs” folder. Each file contains the entire text of an article, reflowed and de-hyphenated plus any images or tables contained and navigation links to the “previous”, “first” and “next” articles.
Command Line
- argus -c htmlConfigs/articles.cfg Indy.pdf
Sample Data
- Input file Indy.pdf
- Output files thread-01.html
Important Config Values
- [Argus Controls]
Text Path - defines the directory path, filename and whether there will be a single file or a file per page for the output text
Image Path - defines the directory path and filename for the output images
